Kansas Thespian Festival
January 9-11, 2020
Any student at Olathe South is invited to attend the Kansas Thespian Festival. The Kansas Thespian Festival is held in January at Century II Convention Center in Wichita, Kansas. Nearly 1800 students from Kansas attend this festival every year. Students see main stage shows performed by high schools and attend workshops led by college professors and theatre professionals. Registration for the festival is due by September 6th. The trip costs $400 for the three day festival. This includes meals, transportation, lodging, and registration for the festival. All forms must be delivered to Mrs. Hastings in person and will not be accepted unless they are complete.
No late forms or payment will be accepted. |
How to Register for the Kansas Thespian Festival
- Make your $400 payment online through TouchBase: https://www.olatheschools.org/feepayment
- Log in to TouchBase.
- Click on your student's name.
- Under Shop, click Items at Student’s School.
- Then click on Performing Arts and you should see the option to pay for the Kansas Thespian Festival.
- Print a receipt.
- Sign the Emergency Medical Release and Security Rules that are attached to this registration.
- Per the KANSAS THESPIAN FESTIVAL registration rules, a parent/guardian must sign these forms, even if the student is 18.
- Staple these documents to the receipt, and bring them to Mrs. Hastings in room 1008 by September 6th.
