Our Town

Our Town won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1938, and the Tony and Drama Desk Awards in 1989. It was revived Off-Broadway in 2009 at the Barrow Street theatre in New York City. Our production will be based on this revival. Watch this video to get a glimpse of what we will try to do.

Crew will be limited to SIX students for this play. We will need the following positions that will serve all areas of tech for this show including assisting with props, helping with costumes, hanging and focusing lights, assisting with sound, taking attendance, supporting Mr. and Mrs. Hastings in anything they need for completing the show: Stage Manager, 2 Assistant Stage Managers, Light Board & Soundboard Operators. These students could be called to any or all rehearsals.

The following roles are available in Our Town. The ROLE of the "Stage Manager" (who will also serve as our STUDENT DIRECTOR) has been pre-cast based on the number of lines in the show. This student memorized all the lines last summer and checked lines with Mr. Hastings in August.
